The Faculty of Music EH&S Training Plan

The Faculty’s Health & Safety Representative will ensure that sufficient training is provided to members of staff, according to the following Training Plan requirements.

Dean, General Manager EHS Compliance Training At new appointment.
Occupational Health & Safety Representative OH&S Rep.Training (5-day course) When new OH&S Rep. is elected
Building Emergency Controller (One required for Conservatorium building) BEC Induction session Every six months, or when new officer is selected.
Floor Wardens (all general staff) Floor Warden training by safety officer Every six months
BEC and Floor Wardens Fire Extinguisher Training Every six months
First Aid Officers (minimum of one required from general staff) First Aid Certificate Level one Every six months
Electrical Inspectors None — use trained technical staff When new technical staff are appointed.
Academic & General Staff Supervisors Introduction to EHS Mnagement In-house training sessions with RMO
General Staff EHS for the Office After appointment - twice yearly available
PostGraduate students. Introduction to EHS At induction
