Student Passcards
Eligibility for a Passcard
Music Technology laboratory: Students enrolled in Computing for Musicians, Music Technology and all composition students.
Electronic Studios 1, 2, 3: Undergraduate and Postgraduate Composition students who have significant studio tasks and students enrolled in Introduction to Electro-acoustic Music, as approved by the Head of Composition.
Postgraduate Computer Laboratory: Currently enrolled BMus Dissertation students and postgraduate thesis students approved by the Dean; all postgraduate students.
Berkeley Street Practice Rooms: All Faculty students may apply for passcard access to the Berkeley Street practice rooms.
Applying for a Computer Lab/Studio Passcard
You will need to obtain a passcard from the Centre for Studies in Higher Education, which is located in building 161 on Monash Rd. This card provides access to the ITS student computer labs and access to Faculty facilities will be added to this card.
- Download the Passcard Access application form from the Faculty of Music website.
- Take your completed form to your subject coordinator for approval.
- Take the approved form to the Accounts Manager’s office (Rm 109) for payment of the $10 access fee. Payments are accepted 9.00 – 12.00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Once you have paid your fee, the faculty will instruct the Security Office to add the relevant access to your CSHE card. Please allow 48 hours for this to take effect.
