This document details the facilities and resources available for postgraduate research students within the Faculty of Music.

- Induction session

Building Access: 24 hour access with key/swipe card
Working space: Five desks available (allocated desks shared between students)
Usual storage provision: Lockable cupboard or locker
Computing- Total number of computers (< 4 years old) available for research students: 5
- Dedicated postgraduate computer lab
Software available for student use: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point); Internet Explorer; Finale 2002; Endnote v.5; Filemaker.

- Photocopying To $500 for PhD students (equivalent FT); to $250 for Masters students (equivalent FT)
- Printing in postgraduate computer lab
- Dial-in internet access to 14 hours per month standard; can be increased subject to application
- Interlibrary loans Vouchers provided as required subject to approval from supervisor
- No telephone provided
Conference and travel funding
- Students make application to the Graduate Studies Committee which administers the Research Grants budget. Applicants must indicate the DEST or Non-DEST published outcome.
- 3 technicians provide computer, studio, and fieldwork equipment tutorials and advice
