Linda Kouvaras
Linda Kouvaras (MMus PhD AMusA BMus (Hons)) is a musicologist, pianist, and composer. Her primary research focus is contemporary music, and (with David Bennett from English with Cultural Studies) she has been awarded an ARC Discovery Project Grant to research postmodernism and Australian Art-Music (2005-07). She records, commissions, and premieres contemporary Australian works for piano. Subjects she teaches and co-ordinates include: 'Impressionism to Postmodernism'; 'Music Analysis'; and 'Sex, Death and the Ecstatic in Music'.
