Stefan Cassomenos
Stefan Cassomenos studies Music and Law on a Faculty Merit Scholarship at the University of Melbourne, majoring in performance. He has been a semi-finalist and prize winner in both the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition (2005) and the Australian National Piano Award (2006). He has performed concerti with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, the Melbourne University Symphony Orchestra, and the Chamber Strings of Melbourne, and has performed as a soloist in St Petersburg, Tallinn, Warsaw, Krakow, Athens, Rome, Milan, Amsterdam, London, Bangkok, and Tokyo. His compositions have been performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
Stefan appears regularly as a solo performer, chamber musician and associate artist. He is also available for writing and performing original compositions, preparing arrangements and transcriptions of extant works, and as a provider of incidental music in a variety of styles.
