Francine Maas
Francine is completing a Bachelor of Music/Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in violin performance and German. She studies with Helen Ayres and previously, Alice Waten, Mark Mogheilevski, Mary Johnston, Fintan Murphy and Lerida Delbridge.
She has considerable experience as a soloist, having performed at numerous private as well as corporate functions. A musician of true versatility, in 2006 Francine was a feature soloist for the Premier’s Award Ceremony at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, whilst a corporate appearance at the Port Melbourne Yacht Club found Francine rather glamorously dressed as a mermaid. Francine is a keen chamber musician. Her baroque ensemble ‘The Nightshades’ has been broadcast on ABC Classic FM and 3MBS and Francine is also a member of the ‘Woodland Duo’. She has participated in Australian Youth Orchestra programs, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, Melbourne University Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Strings of Melbourne. Earlier this year, she performed Lyric Opera’s Il re pastore.
Francine has a wide and varied repertoire, and can adapt a programme to suit your event.
