Faculty of Music Subject Timetables
Students should check the Faculty newsletter, Concurrents for any changes to the timetable.
- Lectures and seminars:
- students should familiarise themselves with the location of their lectures/seminars before the start of semester. See map of Parkville campus [pdf file] for details.
- Tutorials:
- commence in the second week of semester. Sign up sheets for tutorials will be posted on the tutorial noticeboard a week before the commencement of semester.
- Practical Lessons:
- should be arranged on an individual basis with your practical teacher, no later than the end of the first week of semester.
Classes with multiple times/venues
- Composition Class:
- students should attend the main class in Heinze. Classes will divide into other spaces as advised by the lecturer.
- Computing for Musicians:
- students should attend one of the listed classes per week.
- Conducting:
- students should attend the main class in Tallis. Classes will divide into other spaces as advised by the lecturer.
- Core History subjects:
- students are required to attend both lectures and a tutorial.
- Music Technology:
- students should attend one of the listed classes per week.
- Orchestration:
- students should attend the main class in Melba Hall. Classes will divide into other spaces as advised by the lecturer.
Postgraduate Subjects
- Performance Pedagogy Seminar I
- is timetabled at the same time as Instrumental Teaching A
- Performance Pedagogy Seminar II
- is timetabled at the same time as Instrumental Teaching B
- Ensemble A and Ensemble B
- Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm in Tallis
