Application Procedure for International Graduate Applications
Applications for admissions should be made on the International Postgraduate Student Application form, available online or in the International Postgraduate Prospectus. Applicants must also complete Faculty of Music Application forms.
Step 1
Complete all sections of the Application Forms, and sign and date the
forms.
Step 2
Attach certified copies of all relevant documents (including TOEFL
or IELTS results, academic transcripts, reference, audition recordings
etc.). If you are applying for credit for subjects studied at another
tertiary institution, include a detailed description of each of the subjects (preferably excerpts from a course or subject guide)
with your application. If any of these documents is written in a language
other than English, you must include an official certified translation
of the document.

Step 3
Include with your application a non-refundable application fee of
AU$100. If you are accepted by the University this fee will be credited
to your tuition fees. The application fee can be paid by bank draft (payable
to 'The University of Melbourne') or by credit card (Mastercard, Bankcard
or Visa).

On receipt of an application International Admissions will immediately send you an acknowledgement letter. If your application is not complete you will be asked to send additional information. Applications for coursework will normally take three weeks to assess if the application has all the necessary documentation.
Applications for research programs normally take four weeks to assess.
As soon as your application has been assessed by the Faculty, International admissions will send you a letter informing you of the decision. Please allow time for this mail to arrive.
