Association with the Marshall-Hall Trust
The Marshall-Hall Trust in association with the Centre for Studies in
Australian Music has published three new volumes of music in the Musica
Australis series in recent years. The first is a volume of songs by
GWL Marshall-Hall, edited by Jennifer Hill and Kerry Murphy and the second
a volume of part-songs by Fritz Hart edited by Anne-Marie Forbes and Bronwen
Arthur. The third, Henry Handel Richardson: The Music, was issued
late last year in two parts, edited by Bruce Steele and Richard Divall.
Other volumes of music forthcoming are The Complete Songs of Carl Linger
and The Ellard Brothers: Australia's First Piano Music, both edited
by Richard Divall.
In 2002 the Trust published G.W.L. Marshall-Hall: A Biography and
Catalogue by Thérèse Radic. Professor Richard Divall,
Chair of the Trust, distributes copies to libraries of all Trust publications
to libraries and key performers (as appropriate) as a philanthropic service.
From mid-2002 limited numbers of copies of Marshall-Hall Trust publications
have also been available for sale to individuals and institutions. Other
volumes are also in preparation but suggestions for future volumes will
be welcomed by the Trust's Advisory Committee, which can be contacted
through the Centre.
