 General Presentation

In general, written assignment should be presented as follows:

  • typed, double-spaced, on one side of A4 sized paper
  • leave 2.5 cm margins to allow space for comments
  • plastic envelopes are not required or encouraged
  • there is no need for a separate cover page
  • include your name, student number and tutor on the top right hand corner of the first page
  • do not be tempted to use fancy fonts or color printers: content is paramount
  • underlining should only be used as an alternative to italics: never use both
  • avoid bolding except in headings
Marks will be deducted for late submission of assignments (frequently up to 5% per day, including weekends). If you are having trouble meeting the deadline, contact the Student Centre before your assignment is due to discuss an extension.
