Financial Support for Graduate Students
Photocopy Cards
Each graduate student is entitled to a Photocopy Card that can be used in the Baillieu and ERC Libraries.
PhD, DMA and Research Masters students doing a Major Thesis full-time are allocated 500 copies per year of candidature (250 copies per part-time year).
All other students are allocated 250 copies per year.
Cards are available from Loukia in Room 107.
Financial Assistance
The Graduate Studies Committee administers funds to assist Graduate Research and Dissertation students with their research expenses, where the proposed activity constitutes an integral part of the fulfilment of the requirements of the degree in which the student is enrolled. The usual maximum amount allocated is:
- Dissertation: $200
- MMus (Thesis): $600
- PhD: $2,000
Application forms can be collected from Loukia (Room 107).
Financial Assistance for Performance students is also available to assist in covering costs of accompanists/associate artists for Recital Examinations. The usual amount allocated per recital is:
- MMusStuds: $350
- MMus: $500
This amount is claimed directly from the Faculty by the accompanist/associate artist, by means of a Payment Request Form (available from the Faculty Office).
